Donald Trump has already achieved one of his aims, which was to ‘Make America Great Again’, the problem is, and it always was.     Political debate, News headlines about the election along with concerning conversations within families and to friends around the world, is proof that American power and influence has never diminished and is clear evidence of your significance to so many aspects of our lives.   It is just a shame that many Americans’  diminished themselves in the eyes of the world by voting in a Donald Trump and supporting his narrowness of thought, for in his ideologies may in turn damaged the philosophy of hope and optimism  that we on the outside associate with the great spirit of America.

Please do not turn away from the family of nations, for to do so is to risk spiralling into national introspection and risking great divisions and conflict within the social fabric of the American nation itself, something I suspect no one desires.

We are one people living on one planet and we all have one life.

We care about you.

We  asked for a divorce because we were unhappy with the unfamiliar people our partner was inviting into our home.    Now we find ourselves sitting in a dark one bedroomed flat.  We only need one bedroom because no one will come to visit us because we told them, ‘we don’t like you anymore, you spent all our money, and you told us what to do’.     We could turn the lights on, but by doing so we know we might catch our ugly reflection in the mirror and we always thought it showed only  our good side.  We now know better.

Our old partners, they are suffering too; divorce is always unpleasant, however they are moving on, they will soon be stronger and they have a better chance of achieving a level of happiness than us.

They will think of us sometimes, they will think of the old relationship then quickly conclude they are better off without us.

PS

I wanted to stay with you, sorry…..

To the Conservative Party Chairman

Lord Andrew Feldman

Due to your decision to hold a referendum on the United Kingdom’s membership of the European Union and the subsequent vote that has led to our exit I am writing to inform you that I hold your party entirely responsible for this short sighted political and social disaster, and that I wish to inform you that I will never, ever forgive you for this, and therefore you will never receive my vote, in any election ever again.

I will be encouraging everyone I encounter who shares this view to also commit themselves to this pledge.    As a Political Party you have proved yourselves untrustworthy and incompetent to act in the best interest of the country by putting party unity first before the nation.   You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I would also like to add that as the political landscape of this country has now been devastated by your weak leadership, and with your failed leader’s  resignation, the mandate you scraped together at the last election is obviously no longer morally valid.

The only honourable path for your dishonourable party of failed governance is one that leads to a new, snap general election, so that a fresh government, with a fresh mandate that reflects the new political reality in which we find ourselves can be established.
