Why do we insult

Those less fortunate than we?

Are we so greatly?

Have they fallen so far as

 to be beyond our kindness?

    • Paul Nichol says:

We are naive if we believe we are more than a just small trip from our own personal disaster. A kindness given may just seed a kindness received in times of our own need.
Belittling those we perceive as less fortunate than ourselves through words and actions is regrettable, for we damage ourselves far more than damage others by such behaviour.
Thank you for responding to this poem, as I did myself, by writing this poem after reading another’s bloggers less charitable post.

Fantastic Tanka, when I have some more time I’ll be going through some more! 🙂
