Forgiveness is the key

with which we unlock our ability

to discover the humanity in those who wrong us.

For us to know that the wrongs we ourselves have inflicted upon others

are no less painful, no less excruciating, in the minds and hearts of those we have hurt.

It is not the perceived physical or emotional severity of a wrong that determines its moral worth,

rather, it is what we learn about ourselves from our daily interaction within our society,

how we adapt our behaviours to minimise our undesirable influence.

We mature emotionally and spiritually each day.

Open a door into a stranger’s heart.

Forgiveness is the key.
