Dear Mr Blank Blank Blank

I have returned the raffle book for your Conservative Summer Draw because I can no longer support the Conservative Party.

Here is just a short list of some of the reasons I no longer vote conservative:

Failure to hold a Public Inquiry into rendition and the possible torture of foreign nationals.

Proposed Secret Court Hearings, the processes of justice should not be hidden from the people.

Legal Aid reforms will lead to many instances of injustice for those vulnerable or without wealth.

Proposed communication Bill, excessive, reactionary, unnecessary, alarmist.  Against civil rights.

Expenditure and State funeral for Margaret Thatcher,  opportunistic and diversionary.

Renaming of the East Tower at the Palace of Westminster,  I am a republican.

The Proposed European Referendum which has stirred up anti European sentiment.

The Under-Occupation Charge which will damage vulnerable families and local communities.

Failure to reform the House of Lords.

The list could go on.   I do suspect the party is losing as many supporters from the left of the party as it is from the right.   I believe you are heading for general election defeat due to your right leaning policies and anti European rhetoric, which are both damaging to the party and country.

I have been a lifelong conservative voter; however, in the recent Country Council elections I could not support you.

Yours Sincerely

Paul Nichol
